In Germany, they're tonemeisters. England calls them sound recordists. Here in Chicago, they're too busy working to grab a cup of coffee, let alone write a blog. So, as the writer in the family, I'm left to live vicariously and leave an e-trail of breadcrumbs, so Dug can remember where he worked last week.
